The space of power is to remain empty. And democracy by its nature is only possible when particular forces that occupy the empty space of power do not identify with it. Such is the basis of an affective cartography to generate a way of living together with human and non-human agencies on the planet. However, the collective skin we try to wear everyday does feel numb because of the over-identification with power. The crevasses we try to normalise in our everyday make the future that we are afraid of. That future happens now. During the winter term, the “New Visual Economies”-seminar taught by Prof. Övül Ö. Durmuşoğlu researched the place of exhibition ideologies within our new visual economy.

For Don’t You Blame Anyone (Future Comes Quickly) the participants will exercise further on the ways to question the meanings of the present future and its every day constituencies in the form of a group exhibition.

Participants: Achinoam Alon, Tine Ambrosch, YanRan Cao, David Luis Grimm, Heyon Han, Simon Kellerman, Hannah Lang, Leon Leube, Yujue Liang, Gyahoung Oh, Noa Pane, Anna Poetter, Guoxin Tian
